Harold Wayne Cook, Sr., 77 of Prophetstown died Tuesday August 18, 2015.
He was born on February 21, 1938 in Rock Falls the son of Harold and Marie (Harney) Cook. He was employed at Raynor Door in Dixon for 35 years before his retirement. He attended St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Erie; he enjoyed fishing, archery / bow shooting, and riding his motorcycle across the USA.
Survivors include his daughter, Debra (James) Holder of Dixon; his son Harold W. Cook Jr. of Dixon; his sister Charlotte (Russell) Spratt of Dixon; his brothers, Wendell Cook of Prophetstown and Lauren (Sue) Cook of Rock Falls; one grandson and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A gathering of friends and family will take place on Saturday August 22, 2015 from 10 – 12 Noon at the McDonald Funeral Home, 505 1st Avenue in Sterling with the memorial service to follow with the Reverend Richard Kramer officiating.
