ROCK FALLS - Gloria A. Parochetti, 94 died Sunday July 23, 2017 at Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru, IL.

She was born on September 5, 1922 in Rock Falls the daughter of Anthony and Lena (Matteucci) Terlizzi. She was a 1940 graduate of Rock Falls High School, Chicago Business College, and served in the US Navy during World War II as a secretary. Gloria married John Parochetti in 1949. He died in 1975. She was employed as a secretary for a number of years at the former Northwestern Steel and Wire Co in Sterling and then as a secretary at Wahl Clipper for 13 years retiring in 1985.

Survivors include her son Guy Parochetti of Sterling; her daughters Patti (Kevin) Carrino of LaSalle, IL and Angie Parochetti of Denver, CO; her 3 grandchildren: John (Erin) Carrino, Casey Carrino and Kendra Gertje; her great grandchild, Lucia Carrino.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sister Norma Massani and her brother Mike Terlizzi.

A gathering of friends and family will take place on Saturday July 29, 2017 from 11 – 1 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home, 505 1st Avenue in Sterling. Private burial will be at Riverside Cemetery at a later date.

A memorial has been established to the Illinois Veterans Home 1015 O'Conor Avenue, LaSalle, Illinois. 61301
