DEER GROVE – Georgia Farwell, age 77, died at her home Monday, December 11, 2017.
Georgia was born on January 25, 1940 in Blue Island the daughter of Robert and Lydia (Huber) Stier. She married Allen Schultz in April of 1959 in Dalton. He died on April 26, 1996. She later married Jay D. Farwell in September of 1989 in Iowa City, Iowa. He died October 31, 1989. Georgia was employed as a Waitress and Bartender for over 30 years at Arnie's Happy Spot in Deer Grove retiring in June of 2017.
Survivors include three sons, Kurt (Michelle) Schultz of Iowa City, Iowa, Walter (Carol) Schultz of Tampico and Joseph (Wendy) Schultz of Prophetstown; two sisters, Phyllis Markus of South Holland and Roberta Grant of Lansing; one brother, Robert (Lynn) Stier of Munster, Ind.; one son-in-law, Klaus Koch of Western Springs; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Arnie's Happy Spot Ballroom in Deer Grove from 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Arrangements were completed by the McDonald Funeral Home, Rock Falls.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
