George N. Sullivan, 81, of Rock Falls, died on Thursday evening, May 16, 2019 at Rock River Hospice and Home surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on December 21, 1937 in Sterling he was a son of Dorothy (Sheldon) Sullivan.

He married Nancy Vittorio in 1959 at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Rock Falls.

George enjoyed gambling , playing basketball, bowling, ping pong and cards. He and Nancy had traveled all 48 continental states by car throughout the years and enjoyed finding carved Indians in each state. He served in the United States Marine Corps and had worked for GATX as an accountant for over 10 years.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife Nancy of Rock Falls; his daughters, Jolene (Bill) Hallock of Webb Lake, Wisc. and Joyce Blake of Lombard; his grandchildren Nick Konopa of Elgin and Ryley Blake of Lombard; and a brother Richard Sullivan of Arvada, Colo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters and a brother.

Graveside service will be at 2 PM on Monday, May 20th at Coloma Township Cemetery in Rock Falls.

Arrangements are through the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls.
