Gail Eugene Skinner, age 58 of Rock Falls, died Sunday, April 17, 2016 at home.

Gail was born on August 23, 1957 in Sterling, the son of Hubert and Zenith (Walters) Skinner. He was a truck driver for many years.

Survivors include his daughters, Nichole Skinner of Tampico; one granddaughter, Jaslyn Cauthen; step-son, Daniel (Crystal) Swarthout of Tuscan, AZ; four brothers, Royce (Sandy) Skinner of Lyndon, Joe (Bernadette) Skinner of Brookfield, IL, Sam (Pat) Skinner of Rock Falls and H. S. (Cathy) Skinner of Morrison; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gerald Skinner.

A gathering of friends and family will be held on Monday, April 25, 2016 from 10:30-11:30 A.M. at the McDonald Funeral Home in Sterling, 505 1st Avenue. Memorial service will follow at 11:30 A.M. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his memory.
