Gail D. Bell
Gail D. Bell, age 66, of Rockford, died Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford.
Gail was born March 4, 1952 in Taylorville the daughter of Herschel and Glenda (Modlin) Deadmond. She married Dennis Bell on April 11, 1981 in Sterling. He preceded her in death on January 29, 2011. She was employed as a CNA at Mercy Healthcare and Mercy Page Nursing. Gail was a member of Esmond United Methodist Church in Esmond, Eastern Star 354 in Sterling, Red Hats of Genoa, Main Street Committee in Genoa, Library Board in Genoa, SRFARS and The KARC. She enjoyed crafts, sewing and painting. Gail was a master of any task put before her.
Survivors include one daughter, Tammy Bell of Bettendorf, Iowa; one son, Herschel Bell of Odin; two brothers, Gary (Luz) Deadmond of Las Vegas, Nev. and Ivan Deadmond of Odin; and three grandchildren, Ava and Max Sorgenfrey and Ian Bell.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Casey Bell; and her parents.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 9:30 – 11:00 AM at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Dalmus Meeks officiating. Graveside services will be Monday, September 24, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Deadmond Cemetery in Odin.
A memorial has been established to ALS – Les Turner Foundation.
