Floyd LeRoy Glick, age 102, of Rock Falls, Illinois, passed away on September 1, 2018 of natural causes. He is sharing eternal life in Heaven, with his wife Mae L. Glick.

Floyd graduated high school in Sterling, Illinois where he lived with his family. He is preceded in death by his wife, his parents Agnes and Clarence Glick, his sister Evelyn Bennett, his twin brother Lloyd Glick, his brother Hubert Glick, and his brother Wilfred Glick.

Floyd was a veteran. He served from 1941-1945, the majority of his service in Texas and Wisconsin.

Floyd worked as a guard for Green River Ordinance and then at the US Post Office until retirement. Floyd loved his family, his farm, reading westerns, and nature. Floyd was an avid Cubs and Bears fan.

Their marriage was a beautiful sight to see, especially for their children, Jonnie' K. C. Chardonn (Arthur L. Carlson) of Wilmington, NC and Steven Lee Glick (Pamela) of Elkhorn, WI.

Floyd's grandchildren are Antoinette Roberson of Wilmington, NC, Brian Galasso (Patricia) of Naperville, IL, Stephanie Glick of Wisconsin Dells, WI, Matthew Glick (Jennifer) of Woodstock, IL, Cara Carlson of Asheville, NC, and Bethanie Drew (Jeff) of Wake Forest, NC.

His great grandchildren are Alexander and Abigail Galasso of Naperville, IL, Blake and Sydney Roberson of Wilmington, NC, Burke and Walker Glick of Woodstock, IL, and Jared Drew of Wake Forest, NC.

Floyd's family would like to express gratitude to Jon Etnyre and family for the love and dedication shown to Floyd through the years.

Funeral arrangements will be held at St. Andrew's Church in Rock Falls, IL on Wednesday September 5, 2018. The visitation is at 10 am, followed by mass at 11 and burial at Calvary Cemetery in Sterling, IL. A memorial has been established for the Sterling Public Library.
