Florencia A. Interone, 81 of Sterling died Sunday June 18, 2017 at her home.

She was born on October 16, 1935 in Dansalan Lanao, Philippines, the daughter of Leocadio and Eleuteria (Guillena) Alegarbes. She married Dr. Carmelo V. Interone on February 8, 1964. He died January 16, 2002. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sterling where she had served as a Eucharistic minister at Mass. She was also a member of the BMA (Bisaya Medical Association) and served as past treasurer, Amihan Club of America Inc. and PMAC (Phillippine Medical Association of Chicago).

Surviving are her children: Carmelo (Shana) Interone of Sterling, Carlos (Eunice) Interone of Park City, UT, Christine (Dr. Matthew) Cutter of Sterling and Christopher John Interone of Sterling; her four grandchildren: Justin Cutter, Jeseca Cutter, Keanu Interone and Arie Interone; her sisters: Anita MacPhee of Peoria, IL and Joy Ang of the Philippines.

Visitation will be held on Friday June 23, 2017 from 4-7 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home, 505 1st Avenue in Sterling with the Rosary being recited at 4 PM. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Saturday at 11AM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sterling. Burial will conclude at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Dr. Carmelo V. Interone Healthcare Scholarship.
