Florence "Genny" Bogle, 88, of Fulton, passed away on Thursday morning, February 28, 2019 at the Alverno in Clinton, Iowa.
She was born on June 6, 1930 in Florence, Illinois, to Harvey and Juanita (Tucker) Wade. She was united in marriage to Richard Bogle on May 26, 1951 in Shannon, Illinois.
Genny attended First Baptist as well as Assembly of God in Fulton for many years. She enjoyed worshipping, playing piano and growing, cutting & creating arrangements for the church altar. Genny also enjoyed flower gardening and playing the piano as hobbies. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother; her presence in this family will be greatly missed.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband Richard of Fulton; her 2 daughters, Wendy (Phil) Ottens and Laura (Tim) Houzenga both of Fulton; a sister Evelyn Metcalf of Wisconsin; 15 grandchildren: Joseph (Brooke) Ottens, Kate (Michael) Wessels, Rachael (Sam) Leonard, Rebecca (Michael) Swingle, Nicci Houzenga, Megan (Joe) Curran, Matt Kramer, Cole (Becky) Kramer, Abbey Kramer, Allyson Kramer, Matt, Annabella, Samantha, Catherine & Ian Houzenga. Genny also has 15 great grandchildren: Maegan, Faith, Amelia, Elaina, Cohen, Dominic, Paisley, Kennedy, Killian, Flynn, Eamon, Eilish, Elias, Taylor and Emily and one great-great grandchild, Grayson. She was preceded in death by her parents and 5 siblings.
Funeral services will be at 11 AM Tuesday, March 5th at the McDonald Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Wayne Wiersema officiating. Private burial will take place at Fulton Township Cemetery in Fulton. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
