FENTON, Mo. -Eugene Henry Sutton, age 98, fell peacefully asleep in the Lord's arms on Monday, October 23, 2017.
Eugene was born on January 27, 1919 in Harmon, IL , the son of Avery and Edna (Bine) Sutton. He married Jennie Bohms on April 11, 1947 in Morrison. She died December 22, 2007. Eugene was a paratrooper in WWII and retired from International Harvester. Besides his family, Eugene's passion was attending mass everyday and being a loving servant of our Lord.
He was a loving father to Mary (Dave) Miller of St. Louis, Mo. and Bill (Tina) Sutton of Memphis, Tenn.; six grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers and six sisters.
Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Sterling. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM with Reverend James Keenan officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Sterling. Arrangements were completed by the McDonald Funeral Home, Rock Falls.
In lieu of flowers a contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in Eugene Suttons name.
