Ellis (Rocky) Rock, age 84 of Albany passed away Friday, August 28, 2020 at his home.

Ellis was born on October 28, 1935 in Canby, MN, the son of Earle and Lena (Kelso) Rock, he moved to Malvern, IA in 1943 where he was educated in Malvern schools, then moved to Round Grove in 1952. He married Geraldine Hansen on September 14, 1955 in Carrollton, Miss. He was employed at International Paper, retiring in 1990. After retirement he began to travel and he helped with the mission field in AZ working with the Native American children. He also went to the prison down at Puerto Penasco, Mexico to assist the pastor in preaching and helped start a church there. He enjoyed his winters in Why, AZ and returned to Albany in 2016.

Survivors include his wife, Geraldine; one daughter, Ramona (Tim) Van Loo of Colona, IL; one son, Ernie (Judy) Rock of Fulton; six grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and one sister, Kathy Smith of IA.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Ron Rock.

Private funeral service will take place at First Baptist Church in Geneseo, IL. Burial will conclude at Lusk Memorial Cemetery in Albany, IL.
