ROCK FALLS – Eldon Eugene "Willie" Williams, 79, of Rock Falls, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 13, 2020 while at Dixon Rehab Center. Eldon was born on February 23, 1940 in Dent County, MO, the son of Archie and Alene (Hartley) Williams. Eldon was a graduate of Rock Falls High School, and married Sandra Hamilton on November 1, 1965 in Sterling. He served four years in the US Navy aboard the U.S.S. Ranger. He was employed at Northwestern Steel and Wire for 39 years. Eldon faithfully attended Harvest Time Bible Church for over 20 years. Eldon was a faithful Green Bay Packer fan, an exceptional guitar player, and loved southern gospel music. His family describe him as the best dad ever! He loved spending his mornings having breakfast at the Maple Pancake House and Gazi's. Eldon simply had a wonderful sense of humor that was infectious to all who were lucky to know him.
Eldon is survived by his wife Sandra; son, Eric (Karen) Williams of Springfield, IL, and their three children, Jacob (Wendy) Williams of Taiwan, Levi (Clara) Williams of Broken Bow, NE, and Jensine (Erik) Stickley of Petersburg, IL; son Bruce (Joanie) Williams of Freeport, and their children Katie Williams of Kenosha, WI, Elijah, Jonah, Monica, Alexandria, Gabrielle, and Kimberly; one daughter, Suzanne (Jeff) Lee of Sterling, and their two children Jeremy and Jason; four great-grandchildren (children of Levi Williams), Jemima, Betsy, Phoebe, and Myra; one brother, Edwin Williams of Goshen, IN; many nieces, nephews, and countless special friends; and several foster children.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and four sisters, Ruby, Geraldine, Anita, and Snoma.
A Gathering will be held on Friday, January 24, 2020 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at McDonald Funeral Home, Rock Falls. A Memorial service will follow at Harvest Time Bible Church on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 1:00pm with Pastor Dalmus Meeks officiating.
