Doyil W. Bibby, age 72, of Rock Falls, died Thursday, March 21, 2019 at his home.

Doyil was born September 4, 1946 in Cullman, Ala. the son of Alva and Verna (Spear) Bibby. He served in the US Marine Corps and later married Nancy Whitely on August 26, 1968 in Jacksonville, N.C. Doyil was employed at RB&W in Rock Falls for 33 years and at Woods in Oregon for 7 years. He was a member of Harvest Time Bible Church and enjoyed collecting movies.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Bibby of Rock Falls; two sons, Shawn (Carrie) Bibby of Loves Park and Shane Bibby of Rock Falls; two grandchildren, Cade Bibby and Haley Bibby both of Loves Park; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Dolly Hernandez; and one brother, Thomas Bibby.

Cremation rites will be accorded. Graveside services with military honors will take place on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 1:30 PM at Rock Island National Cemetery.

Memorials have been established to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Happy Tails Animal Shelter.
