Dotti Real, age 98, died Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at CGH Medical Center. She resided in the Good Samaritan Center in Mount Carroll. Dotti was formerly of Milledgeville and later of Sterling.

Dotti was born on November 8, 1917; the daughter of James and Ivy (Senneff) Cheeseman. She married Harold Real of Milledgeville, on December 31, 1942.

Dotti was a farmer along with her husband for 48 years. She was an active member of the Milledgeville Brethren Church, serving on numerous boards and committees including Sunday School Teacher and Deaconess. She was a volunteer at the Community General Hospital in Sterling for 22 years.

Survivors include, her daughter, Virginia "Gini" (Jimmie D.) Peterson of Milledgeville; three grandchildren, Marcel (Liz) Hutchison of Milledgeville, Dominique (Alan) Beck of Chadwick and Malynda Last of Milledgeville; four great grandchildren, Brittni and Kaitlin Hutchison and Maxwell and Boden Last. Also a special family, David and Ellen Stogsdill of Oakley, Michael Stogsdill of Cerro Gordo, Tammy (Brian) Ennis of Clinton, Tiffany (Ryan) Cochran, Aaron, Nathan and Miranda Ennis all of Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; her parents, James and Ivy Cheeseman; her sister, Claudina Cunningham and a nephew, James Cunningham.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 2, 2016 from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. at the Milledgeville Church of the Brethren. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M. at the church with Pastor Jim Black officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
