Dolores F. Cuevas, age 85, of Sterling, died Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at her home.

Dolores was born June 4, 1932 in Sterling the daughter of Joseph and Trinidad Ybarra. She married Eliseo Cuevas in June of 1949. He preceded her in death in May of 1975. She was employed at Wahl Clipper retiring after 27 years of service. She volunteered as a Foster Grandmother at Washington, Lincoln and Jefferson schools through the Tri-County Opportunity Council. Dolores enjoyed traveling, doing yard work and spending time with her children, grandchildren and her beloved Feah.

Survivors include two daughters, Rebecca (Pascual) Herrera and Rose Marie Cuevas both of Sterling; four sons, Eliseo (Angika) Cuevas of Tucson, Ariz., Raymond Cuevas of Tucson, Ariz., Ricardo (Pamela) Cuevas of Dale City, Va. and Ronulfo (Suzanne) Cuevas of Sterling; four sisters; six brothers; 18 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one daughter, Rosemary; one sister; and three brothers.

Visitation will be Friday, January 26, 2018 from 6 – 8 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls with the Rosary being recited at 5:30 PM. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church in Sterling with Reverend Adalberto Sanchez officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Sterling.

A memorial has been established.
