Diane M. Sexton passed away on September 7, 2021 at the age of 71, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her by living their lives to the fullest.

Diane Marie Bonneur Sexton was born to Everett Eugene and Mary Katherine Bonneur in Morrison, IL on March 28, 1950. She graduated from Morrison High School in 1968 and received her B.S. from Western Illinois University in 1974 in Home Economics Education. She taught home economics for fifteen years. In 1989, Diane became a State Farm Insurance Agent. She loved caring and serving her policyholders for 31 years. She grew up attending Trinity Reformed Church in Fulton, IL and was a founding member of Peace Community Church in Frankfort, IL. Diane lived life to the fullest. She loved traveling, baking, reading, scrapbooking, basket collecting, tea parties, and celebrating holidays to the fullest! What she loved the most was spending quality time with her family and friends, which always involved delicious food.

She is survived by her father, her children Sarah (Nathan) Phillips of Frankfort, IL; Rebecca (Christian) Kates, of Fort Collins, CO; her grandchildren Abigail, Mia, and Breck; her brother-in-law, Dave Rose, her brother Brian (Cindy)Bonneur, her sister Janice (Scott) Webster, aunt Nadine Riley, uncle Harold Bonneur, aunt Kay Bonneur, aunt Marilyn Riley, and many nieces and nephews.

Diane was preceded in death by her mother Mary K., sister Karen Rose, aunt Beverly Bonneur, uncle Leon Bonneur, aunt Carol and uncle Allen VenHuizen, and uncle Carl Riley.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to Camp Manitoqua. We will plant oak trees in her honor on camp grounds. Camp Manitoqua holds a special place in our families' heart for many reasons, including her spiritual journey.

Visitation will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, September 10, 2021 at McDonald Funeral Home, 1601 16th Ave, Fulton. Funeral service will follow at 11:30am. Cremation rites will follow.

Diane's favorite foods will be served at Fulton Presbyterian Church following the service.
