STERLING – Dennis E. Waller Jr., 66, of rural Chadwick, died on Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at CGH Medical Center.
Dennis was born August 2, 1953 in Sterling, the son of Dennis and Loretta (Whiteside) Waller. He married Kathy Barnes on February 23, 1974 in Sterling. Dennis was a gifted carpenter who loved to build most anything, and was a member of the Carpenter's Union #792. He also loved to sing and play music, enjoyed riding his motorcycle, and was a wonderful grandfather.
Survivors include his girlfriend Julie Duerst Karrow of Coleta; mother, Loretta Waller of Sterling; daughter Jinni Waller of Sterling; two sons, Jeremy Waller of Coleta, and Josh Waller of Sterling; three sisters, Barbara (David) Miller of Sterling, Debra Waller of Rockford, and Cindy Dudley of Rock Falls; three brothers, Dale Waller of Davenport, IA, Jesse Waller of Coleta, and Doug (Connie) Waller of Dixon; and five grandchildren, Destiny Manning, Adalynn Waller-Hawkins, Skye Briggs, Josey Waller, and Harrison Fickert. He was preceded in death by wife Kathy, and his father.
Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 am on Sunday, December 29,2019 at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls, followed by a time of remembrance at 11:00 am. Cremation rites will follow the services. Private inurnment will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the family.
