Delores A. Hinrichs, 90, of Sterling, died Wednesday morning, October 11, 2017 at Regency Care in Sterling.

She was born on September 24, 1927 in Creighton, Nebraska to Maurice and Agnes (Johansen) Olsen. She was united in marriage to Arthur Hinrichs on November 21, 1945 in Rock Falls. He preceded her in death on April 6, 1996. Delores worked for General Electric in Morrison until her retirement in 1988 and was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rock Falls.

Delores enjoyed crocheting, sewing and making clothing for her grandchildren. She was a very giving person and loved her family. Delores loved playing cards and playing the piano for her children and grandchildren. She also loved to bake with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her children, Judy (Dennis) Lehman of Morrison and Richard (Nancy) Hinrichs of Rock Falls; her grandchildren, Michelle Bealer, Greg (Lisette) Lehman, Mitchell (Delaney) Lehman, Matthew (Nadia) Hinrichs and Mitchell Hinrichs; her great grandchildren, Ashlyn, Jordan, Arielle, Julia, Marissa, Logan, Skylar, Violet and Ahni; and her brothers, Duane Olsen and Milton (Betty Lou) Olsen both of Prophetstown. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and a grandson Arnold Lehman.

Visitation will be from 1-3 PM Sunday at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls and from 9-9:45 AM on Monday at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rock Falls. The funeral will be at 10 AM Monday at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rock Falls with Reverend Bree Truax, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Prophetstown.
