ROCK FALLS – Dawn L. Edwards, 64 died on Sunday August 29, 2021 at her home.

Dawn was born on November 18, 1956 in Sterling the daughter of Raymond Elbert and Marie Agnes (Berzinski) Miller. She attended local school and was a graduate of Sauk Valley Community College with a degree in nursing. She worked for many years at CGH Medical Center in the CCU unit and later as a case manager. She married Robbin D. Edward on October 1, 1997 at Fish Creek, WI. He died January 19, 2006. Dawn loved horses; cooking; and reading. But to Dawn, her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family and following her grandchildren through their school and sporting events.
Survivors include her son J.D. (Alysia) Waldschmidt of Sterling; her daughter Jodi (Rodney) Rank of Rock Falls; her sister Gayle (Greg) Shipman of Sterling; her five grandchildren: Richard Rank, Lakyn Waldschmidt, Ryan Waldschmidt, Josie Rank and Adalyn Waldschmidt; and her loving companions and fur babies: Oliver, Annie and Archie.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Dale Miller.

A gathering of friends and family will take place on Thursday September 2, 2021 from 5-7 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home & Crematory in Rock Falls.
Memorials may be made in her memory to Happy Tails Shelter in Rock Falls.
