David A. Clayton, 41, of Rock Falls, died on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford.

He was born on July 3, 1976 in Sterling to Anthony Wayne and Karen Jean (Kelsey) Clayton. David worked at Mazel & Company in Rock Falls.

He is survived by his mother, Karen, of Sterling; his daughter, Emily Clayton, of Montgomery; his son, Owen Clayton, of Montgomery; and his brother, John Clayton, of Denver, Colo. He was preceded in death by his father.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 1-3 PM on Saturday, January 27th at McDonald Funeral Home, 505 1st Avenue in Sterling. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for the benefit of his children. To send condolences visit
