Darrel C. Spencer, age 64 of Milledgeville, died Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Resthave Nursing Home in Morrison.

Darrel was born on August 14, 1951 in Sterling; the son of Frank "Gail" and Edna (Byvick) Spencer. He is a United States Marine Veteran. Darrel was employed by the Illinois Department of Employment Security for 30 years, retiring in 2006. He was a member of the Rice Lake American Legion, AM VETS, Disabled American Veterans and the Moose Club. Darrel enjoyed four wheeling, playing cards and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

Survivors include his mother, Edna Spencer of Rock Falls; two sons, Andy (Tonya) Spencer of Walnut and Nick (Amy) Spencer of Des Moines; two sisters, Linda (Tim) Voss of Morrison and Kalah (Dave) Knutti of Chadwick and five grandchildren, Drew, Sarah, Beau, Alex and Lila.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 20, 2015 from 1:00-3:00 P.M. at the McDonald Funeral Home in Milledgeville, 520 Holcomb Ave. Funeral service will be Monday, December 21, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at Dutchtown Church of the Brethren in Milledgeville. Burial with full Military Honors to follow at South Elkhorn Cemetery in Milledgeville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dutchtown Church of the Brethren.
