Danny E. Hains
Danny E. Hains, age 66, of Sterling, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Royal Oaks Care Center in Kewanee.
Danny was born November 12, 1950 in Sterling the son of Richard and Joyce (Hunsberger) Hains. He served as a Sergeant in the US Air Force in Bitburg, Germany and later was employed at National Manufacturing in Sterling. Dan's life goal was to make the world a better place for everyone.
Survivors include his father, Richard Hains of Sterling; one sister, Pamela (Larry) Minkel of Park Hills, Mo.; one niece, Angela Pratt of Mo.; one nephew, Ben Minkel of Mo.; two great nephews, Stevan Rodgers and Barrett Minkel both of Mo.; three great nieces, Sydney Rodgers, Haley Minkel and Graycen Pratt all of Mo. and one great great niece, Juniper Chamberlain. Larry Minkel was not only Danny's brother-in-law but also his best friend.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Hains.
Cremation rites will be accorded. Private burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Dixon.
A memorial has been established to the American Diabetes Association.
