Daniel Miles Obituary

Daniel Miles, 79 of De Soto and formerly of Rock Falls died Sunday March 13, 2022 at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale, IL.

He was born on January 27, 1943 in Karnak, IL the son of James David and Edna (Sadler) Miles. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served in the US Army. Dan married Donita F. Fairchild on December 26, 1970. She died December 10, 2016. He retired at as foreman from Northwestern Steel and Wire Co. Dan had enjoyed fishing and Southern Gospel Music.

Survivors include his son, Jason (Stephanie) Miles of Beaverton, OR; his granddaughter Aylish Rebecca Miles and his grandson Isaac Daniel Miles; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday March 18, 2022 from 10 – 11 AM at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls, followed by a brief celebration of his life at 11 AM. Burial with military honors will conclude at Coloma Township Cemetery.
