DIXON – Claud L. Ensinger Sr of Dixon, IL went home surrounded by his family on Sunday February 12, 2017 at the age of 84.

He was born on May 8, 1932 in Mulkytown, IL the son of Oscar and Ollie (Web) Ensigner. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the Army. He married Carol M. (Lamoreux) Jutras of Milledgeville on March 30, 1963 in Morrison, IL. He was an avid radio HAMM radio operator (WB9EBS) which was his favorite past time. He was employed at Borg Warner of Dixon for 30 ½ years retiring in 1997. Claud loved spending time with his wife Carol and doing craft fairs and conventions.. In the past 54 years they have only been apart for 5 days. He also loved to spend time with his grandchildren. Family was a high priority in his life.
Survivors include his wife, Carol; daughters: Jeanette Evans, Leah Curtis and Audra (William) Clark; son Claud Ensigner Jr; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents; his brothers: Harvey, John, Philip and Ivan; his sisters: Elizabeth, Mary Rose, and Lena; and his grandson Matthew Starr.

At Claud's request there will be no services. The McDonald Funeral Home & Crematory assisted the family.

A memorial will be established.
