Christopher M. Mullen, age 46, of Sterling, died Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.
Christopher was born October 6, 1970 in Dearborn, MI the son of Michael and Susan (Venier) Mullen. Chris gallantly fought a rare disabling disease for 46 years.
Survivors include his parents of Rock Falls; three brothers, Matthew Mullen of Libertyville, Kevin (Laura) Mullen of Sterling and Ken (Paula) Mullen of Kenosha, Wis.; his grandfather, Joe Venier of Dixon; two uncles, Tom Venier of The Villages, Fla. and Patrick Venier of Dixon; one niece, Kerry Mullen; and four nephews, Michael Mullen, Nathan Mullen, Aidan Mullen and Kory Mullen.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and his maternal grandmother.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 23, 2017 from 1 – 3 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will take place at a later date.
A memorial has been established to the Exceptional Care and Training Center and ECTC Parents Association.
