Carl G. Hepner, age 66 of Rock Falls, died Thursday, July 15, 2021 at his home.

Carl was born on August 6, 1954 in Kewanee, IL, the son of Frank G. and Grace M. (Kraklow) Hepner. He married Cheryl Osterkamp on January 1, 1976 in Hawarden, IA. Carl was a farmer for several years then went on to Hamilton Tech. to become an electrical engineer. He worked at Advanced Systems in Waterloo and then became a Field Service Engineer for medical equipment. He was employed at CGH Medical Center as a Bio Med Tech. and PACs Admin for 12 years. Carl is a lifetime church member, most recently of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Rock Falls. He enjoyed singing in church, leading Bible studies, and doing yard work.

Survivors include his wife, Cheryl; one son, Greg Hepner of Rock Falls; three sisters, Louise Fuller of Rossville, GA, Beth (Chuck) Dewyre of Perrysburg, OH, and Irene Kolb of Albuquerque, NM.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Phillip Hepner; one sister, Anne Frank; and several loved brothers-in-law.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 20, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls and on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Rock Falls from 10:00-11:00 A.M. Funeral service will follow at the church at 11:30 A.M. with Reverend Daniel Behmlander officiating. Burial will conclude on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at Pleasant Point Cemetery in Port Byron, IL with Reverend David Anderson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to "My Good Days", an organization that helps pay for medications for those in need.
