ROCK FALLS – Alberta M. Flessner, age 86, died at her home Saturday, February 18, 2017.
Alberta was born on April 8, 1930 in Danville the daughter of James and Mabel (High) Richards. She married Leo R. Lewis in 1947 in Danville. He died on January 23, 1971. She later married Douglas Flessner in Dixon. He died January 3, 2001. Alberta was employed as a line worker for 10 years in the cafeteria at JCPenney in Sterling.
Survivors include, three sons, Leo (Judy) Lewis, Donald (Kathy) Lewis and Rick (Deb) Lewis all of Rock Falls; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Harold Richards; two sisters, Agnes Collins and Patricia Walker; one grandson, Chris Lewis.
Visitation will be from 9:30-11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at the McDonald Funeral Home, Rock Falls. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Reverend Dalmus Meeks officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
