Fred was an amazing man. My husband, Dan, worked for him throughout high school at Berg's Pharmacy, as well as my mother-in-law, Lorraine. We also knew Fred through church. Fred always had a kind word to say. As he watched our children grow, he was especially excited to learn that our oldest daughter, Darcy, was pursuing a career in the pharmacy field. Fred would often stop by our business, just to chat, and see how Darcy was doing in her studies. I'm sure he was very proud to hear when she graduated with her Doctorate of Pharmacy last May. Thank you Fred for your wisdom, support, concern, and general faithful friendship over the years. Rest in peace, our friend.

Fred and Jane were our neighbors for 12 years. They were a great influence on our Granddaughter Crystal. They always felt Crystal was special because she lost her Mother when she was just 1 year old and we adopted her. They never forgot her birthday and were always by the fence, across the alley, to talk and play. We still have the beautiful book they gave Crystal, she will treasure it even more now. She is 15 now and still remembers their kindness. May Fred now rest in peace. When he owned and operated Berg Pharmacy, he was the one who distributed our medications for years. He always had the best advice and we always trusted him with his words. If I remember correctly, she stated he too was raised by someone in his family, other than his Mother. I think that is why he always gave Crystal that "special" attention. We will miss seeing you and talking to you Fred. Our sympathy to this wonderful family, we are so sorry.

My deepest sympathy to the entire Berg family on the death of your husband and father. Fulton has lost a true gentleman, businessman and scholar. I remember meeting Mr. Berg as I grew up in Fulton with my original "homeboys" Tom, Bill & Dan. Mr. Berg taught me what class and diginity truly meant. We will remember all of you in our prayers.

Liz, I am so sorry for your families loss. I read the obituary and was not surprised to find your father in law had a very distinguished life and career. It must make it even harder to say goodbye.

You are in my prayers,
Cristy
