Condolence & Memory Journal

I worked alongside Virgil during the summer months 50 years ago. He was working for Whiteside Blacktop/Bob Propheter Construction at that time. I was 18, maybe 19 years old then. He was very helpful, insightful and instructional, providing bits of wisdom, especially before a young kid made a mistake, which I appreciated.

He grabbed a 5 gal. bucket of oil out of my hands one time and he said I'm going to show you how to pour this in. You turn it around like this and pour it in from the top. That way the air goes in as you pour and the oil doesn't spill all over.

I remembered that incident all throughout my life after that, anytime I poured another 5 gal. bucket of anything, which turned out to be quite often.
Just a simple act of kindness, remembered throughout all these yearsand once again today.
I am so sorry for your loss.
