Helen M. Warren
Helen M. Warren, age 92, of Sterling, died Sunday, March 18, 2018, at Regency Care of Sterling.
Helen was born September 1, 1925, in Mt. Erie the daughter of Bedie and Pearl (Vandaveer) Berg. She was a school teacher in Orchardville and later married Earl Warren on May 22, 1946 in Sterling. He preceded her in death on December 15, 1975. Helen was an avid bowler and enjoyed gardening, playing bingo and going to casinos. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and her great granddaughter.
Survivors include two sons, Dean Warren and Dale Warren both of Sterling; one daughter, Vickie (Donald) Goshert of Sterling; one brother, Henry "Frank" Berg of Texas; two grandchildren, Collin Goshert of Sterling and Paige Goshert of Chicago; one great granddaughter, Emery Goshert of Surprise, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three brothers, Duey Berg, Carrol Berg and Bud Berg; and two sisters, Irene Berg and Zula Grace Blessing.
A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, March 23, 2018, from 9:30 – 11:00 AM at the McDonald Funeral Home, 505 First Avenue, Sterling. Memorial services will be Friday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Brad Wilson of the First United Methodist Church in Sterling officiating.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to help with Helen's son, Dean's, expenses.

Vickie, I am so sorry about your Mom. I have many "Galt" memories of her. I did her hair every week and we would have great conversations. She was a lovely lady and I know she will be missed. God's blessings and comfot for your family.

Sincere condolences to Helen's family. I remember many Monday nights bowling with Helen. She was a special lady and everyone loved her. May fond memories help ease our grief. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Helen was our neighbor in Galt and we loved talking with her everytime she was outside - she spoke highly of her family and her grandchildren, and she loved it when our grandchild went over to see her. Helen you will truly be missed in the neighborhood.
