Dear Morgans:

My mother told me tonight of meeting Lavonne recently and how happy she was. Please accept our condolences. As a classmate of Steve's at St. Mary's and Newman, I thought it important to tell you all that your mother always seemed happy and was smiling whenever we met.

We are very sorry for your loss.

As I mentioned at the wake held in The Villages Thursday, I will forever be grateful to Lavonne for her dedicated care for my Mother, Margaret Murray. Mom was in her 80's and legally blind but loved golf and the social activities at Emerald Hill CC. Lavonne always volunteered to play golf with Mom so she could help her see and find her ball. Mom thought the world of her for Lavonne's unselfish gifts to her and considered her an angel. It was typical of Lavonne's love and thoughtfulness to everyone she came in contact with. She was a true Christian who practiced her faith, quietly and continuously. I hope she and Mom are playing together again and maybe Mom can assist her in some way with Heaven's golf courses! Bless Lavonne for the way she cared for Don. We all admired her and loved her for that.
