James W. Thompson, age 80 formally of Rock Falls died Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Aperion Care Center in Toluca, IL.

James was born May 18, 1935 in Fulton the son of James and Florence (Sanders) Thompson. He was a past member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Sterling.

Survivors include one sister Lucille Russell of Rock Falls and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and four sisters.

A graveside service will be Monday, February 8, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Riverside Cemetery with Pastor Dalmus Meeks officiating.
