I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mrs. Thayer. I had her as a teacher in high school. She was a caring and kind teacher. Lorna was also my neighbor years ago on Lime Street in Albany. I babysat for her and Dale on occasion and delivered their newspaper as a kid. I'm saddened by this news and my heart goes out to Dale and family.

Dale, Cindy and Ryan,

You have our deepest sympathies in losing the wife, mother and friend who Lorna was. As you know, Lorna and I worked well together for 11 years at F.H.S. She was a great teacher, scholastic coach and a very supportive member of the faculty. She was always there to help when someone needed to step up. I knew her to be a true professional as well as a very nice human being who understood the need for community service.

You have our prayers for her and for you as you work through the grief process.

Our deepest regards,
Emmett, Sue, Jared and Erin Aubry

Dale, I have so many great memories of Lorna, ones that will stay in a special place in my heart. Our years at SMHS together were some of the best of my life. Lorna was a great teacher, friend, and human being. She never had a bad day or an angry one. She was kind, considerate, and loved a good time--of which we had so many.
The world is a little smaller and a bit darker with her gone. My prayers and thoughts go out to you, your children, and your entire family.

I will greatly miss Lorna. What a wonderful friend and coworker! She was always there to help with a smile on her face. She will be missed.

She and I had fun going to various math conferences over the years. I remember one that was near her hometown. We spent the night with her mom.

I graduated in 1991. I had her as a teacher for a couple of years. She was an amazing teacher and I learned so much from her. We used to call her Ethel, just to get her goat, and boy did it work. She always was goodhearted and never made a stink about it, we just loved to kid with her. I know she will be greatly missed by many.
Thoughts and prayers for all of you in the family.

Lorna and I started teaching at SMHS together. We were all young and right out of college; we made some great memories there with the Sislers and Kathy Thompson. After about a year, even the sisters got into the fun, especially Sister Ogre. Dale suggested I interview at Exelon as an instructor and we remained friends. Thank you so much for the anniversary invitation; we never know the time we have. Our prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Our thoughts and prayers to the family of Lorna. She was a special Lady and true friend. We will dearly miss her. We always enjoyed being together on our masonic travels, whether it was at Grand Lodge, Red Cross, or helping at the academic bowl tournaments. She always came with a smile and made the time together most enjoyable. Again our most heartfelt condolences. Jeff and Jo.
