I'm sorry to hear of Pete's passing. I was a customer of Pete's and I never had the opportunity to meet him. Reading the other shared memories, he was surely loved and will be missed. RIP Pete.

I am sadden to here about my friend Pete. What a wonderful person to work with for 15 years at Lawrence Brothers. We worked side by side he taught me so much about sales and especially Therma Tru. I know he was very patient with me and I am sure I must have drove him crazy at times. But he was always there for me. The fun times I remember were April Fools Day. Pete and Pat were always playing a prank on us. Like putting down tape on the phones so they would keep ringing. They would laugh and laugh. Pete would make hard work fun. I am proud to have worked with him for many years.
My thought and prayers go out to his family,
To Pat, Things would not have been the same with out you and Pete. I wish I could be there at this time, but know I am there in heart.

I had the pleasure of knowing Pete through his granddaughter. I was her swim instructor for a couple years. Pete was very faithful in bringing her and encouraging her to do her best. He was a supporter of the local cub scouts by always buying more popcorn than he could eat...knowing that the money was for a good cause. I looked up to him as a person and hope to make him proud. I will miss him.

Pete and I were drafted together and spent basic training at Ft. Lewis, WA. Actually Pete and Pat went in together (all of us drafted, I'm sure) but Pat left early because of a medical issue. I'm sorry to hear of his passing.

My thoughts and prayer to the Fecht family

Had a great, surprising encounter with Pete in Germany. I was in the Airforce & traveling by car with another airman to a job in southern GermAny. Saw a sign for a little army airbase on the way & stopped in for a free meal at their mess hall. Got our food, sat down at a table, and Pete walked up and said "Tom Cooney! ". We laughed for 10 minutes. An astounding coincidence of time and place, and a very welcome sight so far from home. A very warm memory that I've carried with me.

My condolences to all Pete's family and friends. Special thoughts go out to Pat. Charlotte and I wish peaceful thoughts and fond memories of your own in this time of loss.
