Condolence & Memory Journal

Dear O'Malley Family,

I will always cherish the times Rick and I spent as toddlers together, preschool programs, and grade school at Jordan Elementary. We saw each other occasionally later in life but over time were separated by distance and circumstances. I rode a mini bike, played Atari for the first time, and enjoyed the endless Lego collection. Oh yes, I also listened to AC/DC for the first time...all with Rick at your house. We spent lots of summers hanging out at Emerald Hill as well. And who could forget the trampoline and flag football - Go Dolphins. Honest to goodness growing up together kind of stuff. I think my mom was scared to death much of the time, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. Thank you all for being part of that amazing childhood. I will miss you Rick and will remember you always.

I was deeply saddened to hear of my childhood friend Ricky passing away. We have not been in contact for over 30 years at this point, but I remember fondly how much I loved going to his parent's house and goofing around as childhood chums do. Rick & Judy always treated me like another son, and I am truly sorry for their loss. You can tell from everything his friends and family are saying that he obviously continued to inspire, set an example and leave a lasting impact with those he encountered. His smile was always infectious.

My heartfelt condolences to his family and son. Connor, know in your heart that Rick was a great man. Use him as an example in your own life.

Warmest Regards....
